MORE THAN €700,000 ALLOCATED FOR DONEGAL PIERS AND HARBOURS

first_imgA total of €705,000 is to be allocated to Donegal for its piers and harbours.Deputy Joe McHughThe money will be used to boost marine and leisure tourism and for the ongoing maintenance and development of piers and harbours.The allocation has been welcomed by Deputy Joe McHugh. “Donegal piers and harbours are set to receive €516,240 from the Department of Agriculture and the Marine, with Greencastle receiving in total €150,000 under the Harbour Development Scheme and €200,000 under the Marine Leisure and Marine Tourism scheme.“This funding, for ongoing maintenance and development of piers and harbours, is crucial for ensuring their long term sustainability.
