first_imgPresident’s visit bring traffic headache to Palm Beach Motorists in Palm Beach can expect more traffic delays with President Donald Trump back in the county this Easter weekend.Traffic will be restricted starting Friday evening at 6:30 p.m., until Sunday at 4:30 p.m.Road closures around Mar-a-Lago are already underway.The Secret Service has announced that temporary road closures and adjusted traffic patterns around the ‘Winter White House’ will be in place through Sunday evening.All forms of travel, including foot traffic, will be prohibited along S. Ocean Blvd from the intersection of S. County Rd. to Southern Blvd. The Secret Service is not allowing any commercial vehicles onto Palm Beach.This is President Trump’s seventh visit to Mar-a-Lago since his inauguration.last_img

Hundred Competitors at the B&H Championship

first_img(Source: Nezavisne novine) Hundred competitors from numerous clubs of the Republic of Srpska and of the Federation of B&H participate at the B&H Mountain Bike Championship in Vlasenica.The competitions are held on the 3,5 km long Lijepa Ravan road. The participants are teams from Bihać, Bosanska Krupa, Banja Luka, Doboj, Tuzla, Sarajevo, Modriča, Živinice, Goražde, Široki Brijeg and the hosts – members of the Bike club KPL from Vlasenica.During this Championship the competitors are given the chance to win UCI points necessary to participate in the international competitions and the Olympics in Brazil in 2016. – said the Organization team’s captain Željko Lukić for Srna agency.“According to our guests, the track here is pretty demanding and hard to pass, but well prepared” – states Lukić who is also President of the KPL club.The director of the Cycling Federation of B&H Vladimir Kuvelja concluded that the track is well prepared for the competition.“The track is rather demanding and interesting at the same time which means those who are best prepared will win.” – said Kuvelja.The sponsors of the competition are Municipality of Vlasenica and the Cycling Federation of B&H.last_img read more

Raphoe Hockey Club to stage fundraising 24-hour marathon match!

first_imgRaphoe Hockey Club are this evening beginning a 24-hour hockey marathon, in aid of the Alan Patterson Trust.The game begins at 6 o’clock at the Royal and Prior School Grounds and will last for a non-stop 24 hours.Scores will be kept – so you can expect a very competitive contest! The event is the brainchild of Rodney Bates and Sabrina Barnett.Around 40 players are to take part over the 24 hour marathon,.The club is running a Guess The Score competition through its Facebook page and there will be entertainment and activities for children during daylight hours.Alan Patterson (above) is a former Raphoe Hockey Club player from Killygordon.
